We have the best technology to carry out purifications and isolations in preparative HPLC: Waters equipment with automatic injector and fraction collector.
We have the same column chemistry as in the analytical HPLC. This leads to a transfer of analytical conditions to preparative in an easy and fast way. We also develop new methods that avoid the use of non-volatile salts, especially in the case of very polar products of interest.
We use our equipment for:
- Purification on C18 or HILIC columns (very polar products): to reach a purity specification that is not easily obtained by other purification routes (such as crystallization or SiO2 chromatography, also available in Organistry).
- Isolation of products in complex mixtures: to obtain a product whose synthesis is not viable or is not efficient (many synthetic stages).

The isolation also allows the availability of a standard of an unknown impurity whose structure has to be established unequivocally by NMR (when by HR-MS it is established that there are several likely isomers).
In the case of degradation impurities, before starting the preparative work, forced degradation experiments are designed to increase the impurity content without the mixture becoming too complex. The percentage of impurity generated will impact in the yield of the separation and in the delivery time.
We work in the scale of 10 mg – 5 g of product, depending on the starting purity and the requirements of the client.
